![]() Samus’ recovery is one of the more unique ones because she is equipped with so many different options. General Recovery Procedure 1. Use bombs to move closer to the stage 2. Use her second jump 3. Use her Up-B Other Recovery Notes • Samus has several projectiles that can be fired at an edge guarder while recovering. Her homing missiles are likely your best choice, but if you have a full charge shot saved up, you may be able to catch the opponent off guard, and that could be a better option. Consider dropping beneath the stage and using your second jump in conjunction with a missile or charge shot. • Samus can use the grapple hook instead of the Up-B. To grapple, simply press Z when you are in range of the stage. If the opponent is hanging on the edge though, the grapple will not connect, but you can still use your Up-B. • Samus can use her bomb jump for increased horizontal distance. Read the article “Bomb Jumping” for more information. • Samus’s Up-B is tricky. On stages like Final Destination it is easy to get caught beneath the edge and suicide. Make sure to learn the timing and range of the Up-B to avoid these blunders. Being patient and making sure your character is in the right position prior to initiating the move is the easiest way to reduce mistakes. |
